Rosé Review -Foley Sonoma

2016 Foley Sonoma Rosé of Pinot, Russian River Valley, $30

Picked up this little beauty right outside of Healdsburg at the Foley Sonoma Winery. If you haven’t been, go…they have sweeping views of the vineyards, all sorts of games to entertain the troops, and we are partial, because we grew up with the winemaker (Courtney Foley) in Santa Barbara. 

Tasting notes:
Overall a very yummy summer sipper with a bit more body than your everyday rosé. We enjoyed it with chicken tacos and a fresh watermelon/feta/arugula salad, which made for a perfect warm evening meal.

Nose: ripe yellow peaches, fresh summer watermelon and lush guava fruit

Mouthfeel: Lush and medium bodied

Taste: Compressed watermelon, guava, ripe summer strawberries
